This year, Arkansas was proud to offer 3 new scholarships to first-year college students, as well as 9 renewing scholarships to returning college scholars. Through the scholarship program, new and renewing scholars have the opportunity to connect with other students impacted by MS, and to get connected through Society programs and volunteer opportunities.
The renewing scholarship awarded to Ginnie Sellers from Warren, AR, has allowed her to continue her work toward a Bachelor of Science in teaching and learning at University of Arkansas at Monticello. “I chose this major because teaching is extremely important to me and I want to inspire kids the way I had a few of my previous teachers inspire me,” she said. Her career inspirations have even inspired her volunteer work, as she was able to volunteer at Journey Camp in Hot Springs this past summer – a camp for children who have a parent diagnosed with MS.
Congratulations to all of our new scholarship recipients!
