“To some people, the letters ‘M’ and ‘S’ are just that – letters of the alphabet. When put together, MS could mean a lot of different things. For me, it means multiple sclerosis - a life changing event in my life.” This is how Brady Miller, a recent graduate of Bergman High School in Bergman, Arkansas, identifies what MS means to him since his father’s diagnosis with the disease. Having a parent with MS has taught Brady valuable life lessons that he applies to his own life. “This experience has taught me that even though sometimes you can’t see an illness, it doesn’t mean it’s not there,” he notes. “It’s taught me to work hard for what I want, and also how to forgive.” Brady plans to attend North Arkansas College to obtain an associate degree in business, and then continue his education at Arkansas State University to complete his bachelor’s degree. He hopes to one day own and operate his own business.
