    Yoga for MS - Modesto

    Yoga combines breathing with movements that can alternately stimulate or calm the body. Many people with muscle tightness or decreased range of motion find that yoga practice brings noticeable improvement. Because yoga is relaxing and noncompetitive, it is especially recommended for people with MS. Join us for this class specifically for people living with MS.

    Free From Falls: A Comprehensive Fall Prevention Program for People with MS

    This 8-week program is designed for people living with MS who are ambulatory but who may be at risk for falling. Discussion, exercise, group and individual activities are elements of this engaging format where participants will learn about: fall risks, tips and strategies to reduce risk for falling and exercises to enhance balance and safety.

    Axsmap.com is a website data base that houses ratings on both bathroom accessibility and over-all accessibility for people using wheelchairs. For this Mapathon, we will meet at Peet’s Coffee & Tea and split off into groups and comb the streets of Chico to rate the accessibility of downtown businesses on paper or via the AXS Map smart phone app.
