MS Young Leaders Network

The MS Young Leaders Network (MSYLN) is a group of young professionals dedicated to creating a world free of MS. The MSYLN fosters awareness among young adults throughout Northern California, and drives both volunteer and financial support for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Northern California Chapter.

What We Do

Members of the MS Young Leaders Network serve as National Multiple Sclerosis Society ambassadors helping those affected by MS recognize that they are not alone in this battle. Members produce unique events and opportunities for young adults to connect with each other and with supporters - raising much needed funds and awareness in the Bay Area.

Help Us End MS Forever

We hope you will consider joining the MS Young Leaders Network and give your time and talents to create a world free of multiple sclerosis. You can also support our cause by attending one of our fundraising events.

Meet the Leaders

Kate Konieczny, MSYLN President

"I am a MS Young Leader for my mother. Battling MS for over 15 years, my mother embodies the strength and will to overcome all obstacles. I strive to support her strength and the strength of all patients with MS through volunteering with the MS Society."

Penny Desatnik, MSYLN Co-Vice President

"I am an MS Young leader in support of a family friend who is like a sister to me. As the first person I personally knew with MS, it has been both heart breaking and inspiring to learn from her struggles and successes. My goal is to help raise awareness and much needed funds to help her and the many others with MS."

Mary Thornhill, MSYLN Co-Vice President

"I am a MS Young leader in support of my grandpa. His daily struggle motivates me to spread awareness and help others who face similar challenges. Even though I can't be there with him every day, being a part of this group gives me an opportunity to support this cause and hopefully make a difference for those individuals and families affected by MS."
