MS Casino Royale Returns in March
RYE BROOK, N.Y. – Living with multiple sclerosis involves a lot of risk, so why not take a gamble to raise money for a cure?
Participants will line-up to place their bets on Friday, March 23, just over the Connecticut border at Doral Arrowwood in Rye Brook, N.Y. for the second annual MS Casino Royale.
The night will feature a variety of gaming, including a poker table, blackjack, craps, roulette and more. The event will also feature an impersonator and musical entertainment as well as a silent auction. This year, a tasting component will be added to the event, including an open bar and fine cuisine from area restaurants.
“We’re really excited to add a tasting component to the event at Doral Arrowwood this year,” said event-coordinator Carrie Levitt Kaplan. “The addition of food and drink from the finest area restaurants and vendors will surely make for a more enjoyable evening for all. We’re looking forward to seeing this event grow in its second year.”
Participants try their hand at blackjack at last year's MS Casino Royale. This year's event will be held Friday, March 23, at Doral Arrowwood in Rye Brook, N.Y. For more information, please visit www.ctfightsMS.org.
Tickets to MS Casino Royale are $150 per person, which includes $100 in chips and a gift bag. Another option is the high roller ticket package which comes with a VIP gift bag, including a bottle of champagne and the option of car service or a night’s stay at Doral Arrowwood for $1,000 per couple.
More than 6,000 Connecticut residents live with the effects of multiple sclerosis. The cause is unknown, and, as a result, there currently is no cure. Symptoms can include, among other things, numbness in the limbs, difficulties with vision and speech, stiffness and, in some more severe cases, total paralysis. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot be predicted.
Funds raised through events, such as MS Casino Royale, for the National MS Society, Connecticut Chapter, ensure ongoing scientific research to find a cure and provide for the continuation of vital programs and services offered by the chapter.
