MS Taste Of Hope Offers Two Nights Of Extraordinary Eats - New Haven

August 17, 2015

Join us at Anthony's Ocean View in New Haven on Thursday, Sept. 17th!

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The National MS Society, Connecticut Chapter, invites the community to join us for the 2015 MS Taste of Hope.

Discover your new favorite places to dine by sampling the best cuisine and cocktails Connecticut has to offer. Grab your friends and share the experience of sampling unlimited culinary creations and palate-pleasing libations as you sway to the music and participate in a great teacup drawing – all while supporting the fight against MS!

Hundreds of guests are expected to attend the two events, both occurring this September. The 2015 MS Taste of Hope will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, at Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven. A second event will occur on Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Society Room in Hartford.

More than 6,500 Connecticut residents live with multiple sclerosis, a potentially debilitating disease for which there is no cure. Funds raised by the chapter through events, such as MS Taste of Hope, fund scientific research and provide for the continuation of vital programs and services offered by the chapter to people in the state diagnosed with MS.

To date, participating New Haven area restaurants and food vendors include Assaggio, Biscotti Etc., One World Roasters, The Soup Girl, Take The Cake, Thimble Island Brewing Co., Trimino, Willimantic Brewing Company and The Wine Press.

New Haven’s 99.1 PLR and 94.3, The Rhythm of the City, will be livening the party in New Haven on the Anthony’s Ocean View outdoor patio. Tune in to these sponsoring stations for ticket giveaways in the weeks leading up to the event.

Tickets are $50 per person online at ctfightsMS.org or over the phone at 860.913.2550. Sponsorship opportunities including ticket packages are also available.

For more information on the event, including a list of this year’s participating restaurants and beverage vendors, or to register online, please visit ctfightsMS.org.

About the Connecticut-Rhode Island Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society

The Connecticut Chapter strives to provide knowledge and assistance to help people with MS and their families maintain the highest possible quality of life. These goals are achieved through vital national and local programs.

About Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million people worldwide.
