The Society offers many programs and services to help people affected by MS live their best lives. Find resources in your area to learn, connect, and get support.

  1. ONLINE Financial Assistance


    The Society’s Scholarship Program helps highly qualified students who have been diagnosed with MS, or who have a parent with MS, achieve their dreams of going to college.

  2. TELEPHONE MS Education

    LINKS Teleconference Series

    A series of teleconferences for people with MS and their families. Whether you just received a diagnosis of MS or have been living with it for a long time -- the goal of this series is to "link" you with information and tips on how to maintain your quality of life in the years ahead.

    Water Aerobics - Arthritis, Fibro and MS (Reston)

    Exercise in the water to help maintain flexibility, build strength, and relax the body. Exercises adapted to all ability levels.

    Accessible Affordable Housing Guides - Virginia

    These guides will help you evaluate housing needs and better understand the range of housing options available, from home modifications to rental assistance to assisted living.

  6. ONLINE Health & Wellness

    Online Fitness Professional training

    Free online training course for fitness and wellness professionals, including aquatics instructors, yoga teachers, personal trainers, and others who want to learn more about MS. Provides an overview of the disease and offers specific strategies for working with a diverse MS population. Approved by American Council of Exercise for .4 CEUs.

    Family home visits

    MS happens to families, not just to individuals. When a person is diagnosed with MS, there is immediate impact on all who love them. Chapter social workers and counselors are available to facilitate family meetings at your home and provide age-appropriate information to all family members.
