    101 Accessible Vacations: Travel Ideas for Wheelers and Slow Walkers is the first guidebook dedicated exclusively to wheelchair-accessible destinations, lodgings and recreational opportunities. Penned by Candy B. Harrington, the editor of Emerging Horizons, this new title focuses on the vacation planning needs of wheelchair-users and slow walkers.

    Financial Assistance - Physical Health and Wellness

    Offers funding to cover the cost of registration fees for community exercise classes, personal training sessions, or for physical health and wellness classes sponsored by the National MS Society. This does not include gym membership fees. Search the "Health and Wellness" section for classes in your community.

    MS Learn Online is the National MS Society's online educational webcast series. This video features part one of a two-part discussion with Rosalind Kalb, PhD, who talks about invisible symptoms in multiple sclerosis.

    This video series is designed to provide tips to help you succeed in maintaining employment. Topics include: thinking proactively; the ADA; disclosure; managing fatigue & cognition; assistive technology. The resource guide provides information on resume writing, job searches, preparing for an interview, and government assistance programs.     Counseling

    The chapter offers a wide variety of counseling and support services, both professionally and peer-led. You may choose to request individual or family counseling, or participate in targeted short-term, professionally led groups. You may also want to get involved in one of our peer-support programs, such as a self-help group in your community.

    This booklet is designed for families who are caring for a person with advanced Multiple Sclerosis.

  10. IN PERSON Home

    Financial Assistance - Transportation

    Provides reimbursement for one trip per month to MS-related medical appointments and support group meetings provided by public transportation, MetroAccess, other local paratransit, or Medicaid. For trips not covered by other transportation options, provides round-trip transportation one time per month, budget permitting, to MS-related medical appointments and support group meetings, in taxis or wheelchair accessible vans.
