    Increasing Accessibility often requires the adaptation of tools and devices at one’s home or work — and becoming an MS activist in the community.

    Financial Assistance Programs

    This nationwide program is comprised of a range of initiatives that support independence, safety, health and quality of life for people living with MS. This program offers guidance and resources to help contain the financial impact of MS.

  4. IN PERSON Financial Assistance

    Financial Assistance - Respite and Independent Living

    Offers limited funding for services not covered by insurance or other community programs that will enhance the safety and independence of people with MS and/or provide relief to family caregivers, such as house cleaning or other chore services, emergency response system, incontinence supplies, short-term home health aide or companion care, respite stay in assisted living or nursing home facility, adult day center participation, Meals on Wheels or nutrition supplements (Boost or Ensure).

    MS Learn Online is the National MS Society's online educational webcast series. This video features Michael Kaufman, MD, who discusses how to treat tremors, seizures, and loss of balance in multiple sclerosis.

    TR Swim for Physical Disabilities (North Bethesda)

    Aquatic exercise class for people with MS and other physical disabilities who want to work on their fitness and flexibility in an aquatic environment. Staff ratio 1:6, no personal care provided. Instructor is Pat Ameling.
