    To strengthen relationship with state VR agencies, in-service opportunities available to educate vocational rehabiltation counselors on MS, employment concerns of people with MS and adult-onset and/or hidden disabilities, and services/resources available from the NMSS.

    Knowledge Is Power

    Knowledge Is Power is a free, in-home educational series for people newly diagnosed with MS and their families. This comprehensive program provides up-to-date facts about many aspects of MS. (Available in Spanish.)

    Gentle Yoga (Silver Spring)

    Learn how to relax through a variety of yoga techniques. Detailed instructions and modifications for special conditions and injuries will be provided. Please be comfortable on the floor.

    The National MS Society is collaborating with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs MS Centers of Excellence to support improved care and support services for veterans with multiple sclerosis and their families.

    Treatment Options and Research Advances in Progressive MS (video)

    If you have a progressive form of MS, you undoubtedly are awaiting treatment options and research advances. Joining us as we discuss this topic with Dr. Benjamin Segal. Dr. Segal directs the Multiple Sclerosis Center, and is a professor of neurology at the University of Michigan's Holtom-Garrett Neuroimmunology Program.

    Provides basic information to employers about managing the impact of MS in the work setting.

  10. IN PERSON Exercise

    Moving with MS (Germantown)

    Exercises to maintain flexibility in joints and muscle strength, includes relaxation to promote a sense of well being. Learn strategies to keep fit and to keep exercising outside of class. Instructor is Mike Alalof.
