    Experience physical postures adapted to enhance strength and stability without overexertion. Learn breath work and meditation designed to have a soothing effect on the nervous system. Appropriate modifications will be made for people who are ambulatory or more comfortable practicing from a seated position.

    Gentle Pilates (Lorton)

    Gentle Pilates improves core strength and increases flexibility in the body. Each Gentle Pilates class is chair based and will benefit posture and alignment in the body. Exercises for balance and body awareness will engage the mind also. This class is appropriate for any type of mobility, whether ambulatory or using a wheelchair. Instructor is Michelle Logsdon.

  8. IN PERSON Legal

    Legal Referral

    If you have questions about a legal issue involving MS, the chapter may be able to help by providing a legal referral. After conducting an assessment over the phone, the chapter may direct you to some helpful community resources or make a referral to an attorney who is experienced and knowledgeable about MS and disability issues. The attorney may be able to provide a pro-bono consult.
