The Society offers many programs and services to help people affected by MS live their best lives. Find resources in your area to learn, connect, and get support.

  1. IN PERSON Health & Wellness

    Free From Falls Workshop

    Join us for Free From Falls, a one-day fall prevention workshop designed specifically for people with MS who are able to walk, but may be at risk for falling. This workshop will be facilitated by Jessica To-Alemanji, PT, DPT, a physical therapist and owner of Body Kinetic Rehab, LLC with more than 10 years' experience working with individuals with MS.

    Do you sometimes feel unstable on your feet? Do you often use a wall or furniture to help you balance when you walk? Have you had an unexpected fall? Join us for Free From Falls, a multi-week fall prevention designed specifically for people with MS who are able to walk, but may be at risk for falling.

  3. IN PERSON Mobility & Accessibility

    Financial Assistance - Equipment/Home and Vehicle Modifications

    Offers limited funding to help meet equipment, home modification, or auto modification needs that are not covered adequately by insurance or other community programs. Assistance may include new purchases of durable medical equipment, including insurance deductibles or co-payments; repairs to previously purchased medical equipment; home modifications for accessibility, such as ramps or grab bars; auto modifications, such as hand controls or trunk lifts.

    Equipment Loan Closet

    Offers loans of durable medical equipment items, including wheelchairs, scooters, hospital beds, and Hoyer lifts.

  5. IN PERSON Home

    Financial Assistance - Transportation

    Provides reimbursement for one trip per month to MS-related medical appointments and support group meetings provided by public transportation, MetroAccess, other local paratransit, or Medicaid. For trips not covered by other transportation options, provides round-trip transportation one time per month, budget permitting, to MS-related medical appointments and support group meetings, in taxis or wheelchair accessible vans.

    Live Fully, Live Well

    Managing your health and wellness is an integral part of "living well" with MS. Live Fully, Live Well is a comprehensive wellness program from the National MS Society and Can Do MS, designed for people living with MS and their support partners. Live Fully, Live Well covers topics affecting the whole family living with MS in order to strengthen relationships, increase understanding and promote improved health and quality of life.

    At Home with MS—Adapting Your Environment (.pdf)
