Co-Chairs: Erica Castro and Brian Rodgers
On Tuesday, September 8, the Ambassadors Ball will kick off the fall social season with one of the most glamorous and prestigious events held in Washington, D.C. Prominent Ambassadors, distinguished Congressional and business leaders, VIPs, and a variety of celebrities will gather for an elegant evening of dinner featuring a unique, international silent auction. The Ambassadors Ball, to be held at the Marriott Marquis, Washington, D.C. will welcome Ambassadors and their spouses to our city and honor the Diplomatic Corps for their support of so many charitable activities and humanitarian endeavors. The Ambassadors Ball has raised more than $18 million for the National MS Society’s movement towards a world free of multiple sclerosis.
Ambassadors and their spouses donate items from their home country, including travel packages, artwork, wines, and even group dinners at the Embassies, to be auctioned off and raise funds for the Society. Auction items also serve to showcase the unique beauty of each Ambassador’s home country.
Corporations and individuals also donate auction items, which can range from U.S. travel destinations to sports memorabilia and theatre tickets in the Washington, D.C. area.
If you have ever dreamed of dining with an Ambassador at their residence with 10 of your friends, or decorating your home with international crafts and works of art, you won’t want to miss this unique opportunity to help a great cause.
Unlike many of our events, there are a limited number of volunteer roles at the Ambassadors Ball. While we greatly appreciate every offer of support, we may not be able to utilize all interested persons at this year's event.
