Find Resources and Support

The Society offers many programs and services to help people affected by MS live their best lives. Find resources in your area to learn, connect, and get support.

  1. IN PERSON Live Fully, Live Well

    MS Teen Expression

    Day-long workshop for teens ages 13 to 18 whose lives are impacted by MS. Participants will share their stories, make friends, learn about MS, do team-building activities and have fun at SeaWorld!

  2. IN PERSON Live Fully, Live Well

    Women's Retreat

    This program is an opportunity for women living with MS to learn about the disease and symptom management, learn leadership and coping skills, and enjoy "girl time" while forging friendships with other women living with MS. Women's Retreats are hosted by the North Florida and South Florida Chapters and supported by the Mid Florida Chapter. The next Women's retreat will take place in summer 2014.     Care Management

    Care management services assist people with MS in maintaining their independence as long as possible.

    Transportation Assistance

    The Mid Florida Chapter is committed to helping people with MS gain access to medical care and needed support. When transportation poses a barrier, the Chapter can provide limited transportation to MS-related medical appointments and Chapter activities. Referrals are also available for transportation vendors and local resources.

    University of South Florida MS Center Partnership

    The Mid Florida Chapter has partnered with the MS Center at the University of South Florida. Once a month, a staff member from the Chapter is available at the clinic to answer your questions and help find resources.

    Live Fully, Live Well

    Managing your health and wellness is an integral part of "living well" with MS. Live Fully, Live Well is a comprehensive wellness program from the National MS Society and Can Do MS, designed for people living with MS and their support partners. Live Fully, Live Well covers topics affecting the whole family living with MS in order to strengthen relationships, increase understanding and promote improved health and quality of life.

  7. IN PERSON Live Fully, Live Well

    MS Kids Camp

    A weekend-long adventure for kids ages 7 to 13 whose lives are impacted by MS. Participants will learn about MS, make friends and have fun doing "camp" activities like canoeing, archery, swimming and more. Registration opens March 17, and all application forms must be received by the chapter by April 25. Register at 1-800-344-4867.
