  1. Fundraising Events

Bike MS: The Citrus Tour 2015 Volunteers

Bike MS: The Citrus Tour 2015 will be taking place May 2-3, 2015. This is the Chapter's largest fundraising event and features 50, 75 and 100 mile route options for more than 1,000 participating cyclists. The route starts at Fantasy of Flight in Polk City on May 2 and ends at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando. On May 3, the cyclists ride back to Fantasy of Flight.

Volunteers are needed to help with planning, rest stops, start/finish line, medical, cheering section, route support and more. This is a great opportunity for families, groups and individuals. Help make a difference in the lives of those affected by MS while having fun and making new connections!

  2. Advocacy

    District Activist Leader

By serving as a District Activist Leader, you will drive change by deepening relationships between elected officials and the MS movement. Your story will create a personal imprint in the mind of the elected official about the impact MS has had on your life and within your community. The relationships you build and the stories you share will help to ensure that when an elected official hears the words multiple sclerosis, he or she feels compelled to take action.

Build and foster critical relationships with your elected officials (in your legislative districts) that will help the MS movement influence policy issues at the federal, state and local levels.

Serve as the liaison between Society government relations staff and your local MS community. This volunteer position will provide opportunities to help grow our activist network, speak at community events about our policy priorities and help to identify issues to be addressed via advocacy.
