Steve Beicos

Volunteering with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Illinois Chapter for over 4 years, Steve has been a tremendous help to the Programs and Services department. He first started by supporting and updating the Chapter’s lending library. Now, Steve works alongside Coleen Friedman, the Vice President of Programs and Services, helping her with various administrative tasks.

Steve sees the positive impact of his volunteer work on MS patients and their families – this is especially important to Steve since he is also living with MS. “As a volunteer,” he says, “I always understood how my efforts at the National MS Society helps the organization achieve their goals.”

Also making Steve’s volunteer efforts with the National MS Society meaningful is the relationship he’s continued to build with Greater Illinois Chapter staff and volunteers. “Working with great staff over many years has been a worthwhile experience,” he says.

Steve’s experiences with the Greater Illinois Chapter staff have been more than enjoyable, and he plans on continuing his work with the National MS Society for a long time. Steve says, “I always look forward to spending my time volunteering at the National MS Society, and I look forward to this continued, positive association.”
