Workplace Giving

Participating in the charitable giving campaign sponsored by your employer is an easy way to help us move toward a world free of MS. Simply sign up to make a contribution by directing a portion of your paycheck to the National MS Society. Your tax deductible donation is automatically sent to the Society to help support MS programs, services and research. Workplace giving programs provide a simple and convenient way to join the movement.

Corporate Employee Giving Programs

Many national and local corporations offer their employees an opportunity to make a charitable donation through payroll deductions. If your employer partners with Community Health Charities (CHC), look for the National MS Society listing under CHC. If your employer offers an independent campaign, ask your program administrator how to designate your gift to the National MS Society.

The Combined Federal Campaign

Federal government employees and members of the U.S. Military Forces can support the Society through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) by designating their contribution to CFC# 11409.

Federal employees can support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) by selecting the designated code number, #11409, under Community Health Charities.

Other Public Sector employees, such as state, county, or school will also find our local listing numbers under Community Health Charities.

CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help to raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season, September 1 to December 15, support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.

State/Local Public Sector Campaigns

Be sure to look for the Society listed under CHC on the designation lists for your state, city, county or school employee giving campaigns. For more information, ask your program administrator.

Your company may have an individual corporate gift program or participate through the Community Health Charities Federation or United Way. In most areas we do not participate in the United Way, but you may ask if you can designate your gift to your local office through the Donor Designation Program.

The National MS Society is also a member charity of Community Health Charities. To unite caring donors in the workplace with our nation's most trusted health charities is their goal, and we are proud to be a part of their campaigns. For over 60 years, CHC has partnered with private and public sector businesses to help them leverage the nation's largest health charity network to create healthier, happier, and more engaged employees. As part of this work, Community Health Charities and its business partners have raised more than $335 million for health charities.

Workplace giving is a great way for both employees and employers to support charities they feel passionate about through a simple and convenient approach to charitable giving. When companies and organizations participate, employees have the opportunity to donate a portion of each paycheck to the charity of their choice. United Way

In a few areas, individuals may support the National MS Society through the United Way. If your employer offers a United Way program, ask your administrator how you can designate your gift to the National MS Society.

Employer Matching Gifts

If your employer has a matching gift fund, ask them to match your workplace giving gift to the National MS Society. See if your company offers a matching gift program.
