    Online Groups

    Online groups bring people together on a regular basis for mutual support, education and camaraderie. MSconnection.org groups have different purposes and goals. Groups may focus on support, advocacy, education, or be more social in nature. Some groups also serve specific populations, such as young adults, carepartners, or people who are newly diagnosed.

  3. ONLINE One-on-one Peer Support

    One-on-One Peer Connections

    Through the Peer Connections program you can search for and connect with a peer support volunteer who has “been there” and can provide you with helpful tips, suggestions and emotional support for the challenges that MS throws at you. You can connect with your peer via one-on-one ongoing telephone or email conversations. Peer Connections volunteers have been through a rigorous screening and training process.

    This is a guide to help parents with a child or teen living with MS advocate for them at school or their learning environment.

    Timmy’s Journey to Understanding MS (DVD)

    Timmy’s Journey to Understanding MS is an animated cartoon that shares a little boy's adventure learning about MS. David Lander is the voice of Captain Kip S’myelin, Timmy’s guide on his journey. The cartoon is an excellent resource to talk with children about MS. Developed for children ages 5-12, but appropriate for all ages.

  6. IN PERSON MS Education

    Lending Library

    Provides free access to accurate, current, and comprehensive information to people with MS, those who care for them, and health professionals through the Midwest Regional Lending Library. Books, DVDs, and CDs are available on a variety of topics including symptom management, emotional health, exercise, family support, disease information, and more.

  7. ONLINE Knowledge is Power

    Knowledge Is Power

    Knowledge Is Power is a free, in-home educational series for people newly diagnosed with MS and their families. This comprehensive program provides up-to-date facts about many aspects of MS. (Available in Spanish.)

  8. ONLINE Financial Assistance

    Veterans with Multiple Sclerosis

    The National MS Society is collaborating with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs MS Centers of Excellence to support improved care and support services for veterans with multiple sclerosis and their families.

  9. TELEPHONE Financial Assistance

    Emergency Response Systems - Michigan Residents Only

    This system ensures that adults living at home can access emergency assistance whenever needed - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

    Treatment Options and Research Advances in Progressive MS (video)

    If you have a progressive form of MS, you undoubtedly are awaiting treatment options and research advances. Joining us as we discuss this topic with Dr. Benjamin Segal. Dr. Segal directs the Multiple Sclerosis Center, and is a professor of neurology at the University of Michigan's Holtom-Garrett Neuroimmunology Program.
