Visit the North Carolina Zoo and join the National MS Society for a fun-filled day with your family, for face-to-face animal encounters, that will enchant and educate children or perhaps just to enjoy the glorious gardens. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy a day to connect with over 1600 kinds of wildlife from two different continents as you explore 500 acres of exhibits carefully constructed to resemble natural habitats.
This program is for people living with MS and their immediate family members. Tickets are limited to 5 per family, excluding children under 2 years old. The cost of the program is $5.00 per person and includes a full-day admission and a $5.00 meal ticket redeemable inside the zoo.
**Children under 2 years old do NOT need a ticket for entrance into the zoo and will NOT receive a meal ticket.
The North Carolina Zoo is completely accessible. The In-park tram and bus service runs inside the Park. There are three tram stops inside the Park: North America, Africa Akiba Market and Junction Plaza. The Junction Plaza tram stops allow visitors to travel in either direction. Wheelchairs and scooters can be transported by all trams and by any bus that is equipped with a hydraulic lift.
Manual & electric wheelchairs can be rented (manual $8, Electric $25) at the Explorers' Store in North America and at the Safari Gift Shop in Akiba Market. The Zoo has a very limited number, so guests are encouraged to bring their own. You will be asked to give a valid driver's license to be held at the rental location until the wheelchair is returned.
*Tickets must be used on MS Adventures Day only. No refunds or cancellations. Tickets will be available at the "MS Table" at African entrance from 8:30 - 12:00 noon. Tickets will not be available after 12:00 from either chapter or zoo staff. Please plan your arrival accordingly.
Registration deadline is Friday, October 3.
