The Society offers many programs and services to help people affected by MS live their best lives. Find resources in your area to learn, connect, and get support.

  1. IN PERSON Support and Self Help Groups

    Henderson County Social Self-Help Group

    Self-help groups provide a chance for individuals with MS, their families, friends and other care partners to share common experiences and concerns, provide and receive emotional support, obtain information related to the disease and on various aspects of living and coping with MS. Groups are led by people with MS, and all groups are free of charge.

    South Carolina Advocacy Day

    Advocacy Day provides the opportunity to learn more about issues that are of concern to people living with MS. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit their local legislators.

    Overcoming Cognitive Challenges Teleconference

    Memory problems, difficulty concentrating and slowness in processing information are all cognitive challenges associated with MS. Join us to learn more abou the role of cognition in MS as well as information on cognitive rehabilitation and tips to help manage cognitive symptoms



    A free educational and interactive program that focuses on mobility, health, wellness and lifestyle empowerment approaches offered by a compassionate multi-disciplinary care team. Designed for people living with MS and their support partners.

  8. IN PERSON Treating MS

    Making Treatment & Lifestyle Decisions Boone, NC

    This program focuses on the factors that influence people with MS, as well as their physicians and family members, as they consider their treatment and lifestyle options. In the video portion of the program, you will hear from clinicians at the forefront of MS research and treatment discussing the issues that must be considered when looking at treatment and lifestyle decisions.

    Alternative Therapies in MS

    Alternative therapies are difficult to define and can include anything from drugs and diet to food supplements, mental exercises and lifestyle changes. This teleconference will help identify and discuss alternative options.

  10. IN PERSON Family and Relationships

    MS Adventures at Camp Chestnut Ridge

    This annual camp is specifically for children (ages 10-14 years old) who has a parent living with MS. Kids learn more about the disease, how to better cope with its challenges, along with fun activities throughout the weekend.
