Our special guest will Jessica Thomas a chronic illness counselor who be focusing on what matters most.   Here is a little more about Jessica:
 
Jessica Thomas, LCSW, obtained her BSW from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC and her MSW from UNC-CH. Jessica has professional experience ranging from child welfare, healthcare, international adoptions to chronic illnesses. However, the majority of her professional experience is in the chronic illness field. She has a passion for wellness within illness. Jessica currently is the Clinical Coordinator of the Intensive Outpatient Program at Novant Health at Thomasville Medical Center.
 
She has experience in providing an array of clinical services to people living with chronic illness and their caregiver for over ten years in different capacities ranging from direct practice, leader support groups to management. Jessica has support group experience with loss/grief, newly diagnosed, caregivers and progressive illness. 
 
In addition to her professional experience, Jessica has personal experience with living with a chronic illness. She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis over 7 years ago while in graduate school. She has since dedicated her professional world to helping others live well with this disease.
