The Greater Carolinas Chapter works to improve the quality of life for people affected by MS in North Carolina and South Carolina and raise funds for critical MS research. Join the movement toward a world free of MS.
Have you met with your elected official and shared how MS affects you? Are you interested in growing this relationship to keep people with MS are front of mind as he or she considers legislation? Lead the way in your community by becoming a volunteer District Activist Leader.
Movement Ambassadors are dedicated volunteers who raise awareness about MS and promote the Chapter’s programs, services, advocacy and fundraising initiatives. These volunteer educate, engage and encourage others to join the MS Movement.
Volunteers for the Community Health Relations Program are spokespersons for the Chapter as they visit local healthcare professionals. Through developing and strengthening relationships, they will educate the professionals on the services and programs of the National MS Society.
Leaders of Greater Carolinas Chapter affiliated self-help groups perfrom an integral role in bringing together people who share a common life experience (living with MS) for support, education and mutual aid. Self-help group leaders and co-leaders, with the assistance and particiaption of group members, manage the organization and logistical aspects of group facilitation, by negotiating and dividing tasks among co-leaders and members.
Talk MS Speakers are movement ambassadors who are trained to make presentations to community, business, and school groups. These speakers raise awareness about MS and the Society and help create connections in their local communities.

The Greater Carolinas Chapter is looking for qualified full or part time interns. Internships are available in a variety of fields. Positions are unpaid, but the experience will be invaluable! Academic credit/community service credit is available. Check out our various internship opportunites.
