Maggie Carrico’s desire to become a physical therapist is guided by her experience as an athlete and her mother’s recent diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Maggie plans to attend Adams State University where she will play for the women’s soccer team while achieving a bachelor’s degree in human performance, and ultimately a degree in physical therapy. Since her mother’s diagnosis, Maggie and her family continue to remain positive for the future. “I want to help someone like her or children born with disabilities,” says Maggie. “And someday make an impact on people’s lives.”
