Dawn Sanders

When Dawn Sanders was diagnosed with MS in 2009, one of her first calls was to the National MS Society in Little Rock. The decision to join in the movement to create a world free of MS was quick and wholehearted, and absolutely nothing has held her back.

Dawn is a firm believer that everything in life happens for a reason and that she, as a person living with MS, has a purpose.

Here are some of the ways Dawn is leading the MS movement:

  •  Serves as a Walk MS: Little Rock Team Captain for Team Dawn, and boosts her fundraising by hosting team fundraising events
  •  Has served as both co-chair and chair of Walk MS: Little Rock committee
  •  Is a member of the Bike MS: Rock’n Hot Ride committee
  •  Volunteers at Walk MS events throughout Arkansas, including Little Rock, Hot Springs and Texarkana
  •  Lent her voice and time by assisting with advocacy efforts as a member of the Government Relations Committee in 2011
  •  Volunteered in the MS Awareness booth at Bikes, Blues & BBQ-Fayetteville in 2011, and at the Orange You Lovely MS Fashion Show in 2013
  •  Volunteers regularly in the Little Rock office, assisting staff with anything and everything that needs to be done

Dawn’s true shining moment was serving as the Auction Chair for the 2013 A Vintage Affair. Tasked with the job of spearheading the Silent Auction for the first annual event in Arkansas, Dawn was unstoppable! She worked tirelessly, contacting over 400 businesses and organizations for auction donations. Her hard work and commitment paid off with more than 75 incredible silent auction packages showcased at A Vintage Affair along with six live auction items that cumulatively brought in more than $12,000 that evening!

Dawn is a true Leader in the Movement, or as staff in Arkansas lovingly refer to her - our Bulldog against MS. Her unyielding determination to create a world free of MS is both evident and inspirational.
