    Independence Care System, ICS

    ICS is a Medicaid-managed long-term care plan licensed by New York State for individuals with physical disabilities and chronic illnesses. Their mission is to provide their members with the health and social supports they need to live full and satisfying lives at home, in their own communities. ICS has a unit dedicated to people living with MS and works in collaborations with the NYC-SNY Chapter.

  3. IN PERSON Adaptive Equipment

    Equipment Purchase

    The Chapter provides financial assistance toward the purchase of durable medical equipment (wheelchairs, scooters, shower benches) if the member’s insurance carrier has denied coverage or if funding is prohibitive.

  4. IN PERSON Computer

    Computer Outreach Program

    The computer outreach program provides computers to those who are living with ms and are restricted to their homes or are living in long term care facilities. This program enables people to remain connected to the world despite financial constraints that preclude them from purchasing computers or assistive technology.

  5. IN PERSON Cognition

    CogniFitness – Keep the Mind Moving

    This call discusses cognitive issues and engages you in practical activities to help focus your attention and improve memory, planning and problem solving skills. Speaker: Nancy Lowenstein, OT, Mount Auburn Hospital Comprehensive MS Care Center.
