    The Center for Independence of the Disabled, CIDNY

    CIDNY's offices in Manhattan and Queens provide benefit counseling, direct services (e.g. housing assistance, transition services for youth with disabilities, employment-related assistance, healthcare access, benefits assistance, and peer support groups), information and referrals, and recreational activities. There are no charges to consumers for CIDNY's services.

    Employment Program: Federal Hiring Initiatives for People with Disabilities

    The Federal Government is taking steps to become a model employer for people with disabilities. Michael Murray of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), will discuss Schedule A hiring authority and U.S. Department of Labor regulations designed to increase the employment of people with disabilities by federal government contractors.

    If you have a progressive form of MS, you undoubtedly are awaiting treatment options and research advances. Joining us as we discuss this topic with Dr. Benjamin Segal. Dr. Segal directs the Multiple Sclerosis Center, and is a professor of neurology at the University of Michigan's Holtom-Garrett Neuroimmunology Program.

    Partnership for Prescription Assistance New York

    PPARNY is a program that connects qualified, low-income people with discount prescription drugs, direct from the pharmaceutical manufacturer. PPARNY offers a single point of access to public and private patient assistance programs, including more than 150 programs offered by pharmaceutical companies.

    Barrier Free Living(BFL)

    Barrier Free Living (BFL) is dedicated to helping New Yorkers with disabilites live independently in the community. BFL provides a range of services and linkages to other community resources through various programs, enabling individuals to overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of their living dignified, secure lives. They specialize in programs for domestic violence, homelessness and disability advocacy.
