    Case Management

    Chapter members feel overwhelmed by their MS and are unable to identify and tap into available community resources that can help them cope with the challenges of having a chronic disease. A social worker is sent to the member's home to assess, plan and coordinate needs relating to long-term care issues, access to entitlements and financial management.

    The Chapter employment program addresses concerns relating to current employment situations or job searches through individualized coaching.

    Keep S'myelin: A newsletter about MS for children

    Keep S’myelin is a colorful, engaging, informative, and reassuring newsletter to help children and their parents talk and learn about MS together. Each issue is filled with stories, interviews, games, and activities that highlight a specific topic related to MS, as well as a special section just for parents.

    Where is My Memory? Cognitive Changes in MS

    This teleconference will explain cognitive issues in MS and delve into the impact of cognitive dysfunction on everyday life. Tools to help people with MS manage and adapt to the impact of cognitive symptoms will also be explored.

  5. IN PERSON Support and Self Help Groups

    Coping with MS Rose Messina Support Group- Manhattan

    A general support group open to both people living with MS and/or their family members. Group members can attend with or without an accompanying person.

    MS Learn Online is the National MS Society's online educational webcast series. This video features a discussion with Stephen Krieger, MD, who talks about less common symptoms of multiple sclerosis.

    Just us for a forthright discussion about the personal and intimate side of living with MS. This presentation provides opportunities for participants to explore concepts of intimacy, challenge their commuication skills and explore a range of sexual expressions to awaken or enhance the sexual connection.

    "Homebound TR Program" provides individuals with MS, who are isolated in their home, the opportunity to gain insight into their leisure lifestyle and gain skills that promote the positive use of free time in an isolated environment.
