    Can Do Multiple Sclerosis

    Can Do Multiple Sclerosis, formerly the Heuga Center for Multiple Scelerosis, is a leading provider of innovative lifestyle empowerment programs for people with MS and their support partners. It has a web-based lifestyle empowerment program where you can interact with other participants online.

  4. IN PERSON Financial Assistance

    Medical Transportation

    The chapter offers a maximum of three round trips (or the financial equivalent) for members to get to appointments with health care professionals. Requests must be made at least one week prior to the medical appointment. Please identify if you are using a wheelchair, scooter, or power wheelchair.

  5. IN PERSON Family and Relationships

    Rose Messina Family Counseling:

    Counseling services are offered through couple and family sessions. Up to seven counseling sessions are available.

    New Windsor Living with MS Self Help Group

    Self help groups unite people who share common life experiences for support, education, and assistance. Self-help group participants share a belief that positive personal change happens through individual efforts with the support of others.

  7. IN PERSON Computer

    Computer Outreach Program

    The computer outreach program provides computers to those who are living with ms and are restricted to their homes or are living in long term care facilities. This program enables people to remain connected to the world despite financial constraints that preclude them from purchasing computers or assistive technology.

    MS Next Step®

    Hearing the diagnosis of MS is never easy. MS Next Step is designed to answer questions that are commonly asked immediately following a diagnosis and provides an introduction to MS and the programs and services of the National MS Society. (Available in Spanish.)

  10. IN PERSON Symptom Management

    NYC- SNY Chapter Air Conditioner Program

    The Chapter recognizes that heat creates problems for many people living with MS and may worsen their symptoms. Financial assistance can be provided to purchase air conditioners when it is medically necessary. A referral from your physician is required along with two price quotes from vendors. Funding is limited. Must live in the NYC-SNY Chapter territory to qualify.
