The Society offers many programs and services to help people affected by MS live their best lives. Find resources in your area to learn, connect, and get support.

  1. VIDEO Employment

    MS & the Workplace: Employer Education DVD (DVD)

    Provides basic information to employers about managing the impact of MS in the work setting.

  2. ONLINE Employment

    Reinvent Yourself

    Hear from others living with MS who changed careers after their diagnosis, along with a vocational specialist who will offer tips on how to navigate this transitional period.

    Yoga: For MS and Related Conditions (DVD)

    Who is this tape for? Anyone with limited mobility. This includes people with: Multiple Sclerosis, Mild Arthritis, Chronic Illness or Pain, Post-Polio Syndrome,or Chronic Fatigue. This tape is also for Seniors and anyone with daily stresses as well as people who are overweight or temporarily limited. If aerobics videos are too difficult, but you know that you need to exercise - This is the tape for you!

    Increasing Accessibility

    Increasing Accessibility often requires the adaptation of tools and devices at one’s home or work — and becoming an MS activist in the community.

    Financial Assistance Programs

    This nationwide program is comprised of a range of initiatives that support independence, safety, health and quality of life for people living with MS. This program offers guidance and resources to help contain the financial impact of MS.

  6. TELEPHONE Support and Self Help Groups

    Teens Living with Pediatric MS Support Group- Telephone

    Professionally-led group offers teens (ages 13-19) living with pediatric MS an opportunity to openly share experiences and coping strategies with others who may have similar life situations. Participants have the opportunity to discuss and share issues of special concern such as new diagnosis, school, coping with additional symptoms or the impact of MS on the family.

    Practical Applications of the ADA Amendments

    Did you know that significant amendments to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) have been proposed?  These changes have direct implications on people with MS. This program, will address the ADA, the proposed changes, and key issues including accommodations and disclosure.

  10. IN PERSON Support and Self Help Groups

    Nyack Coping with MS Rose Messina Support Group

    A general support group open to both people living with MS and/or their family members. Group members can attend with or without an accompanying person.
