The New York City- Southern New York Chapter works to improve the quality of life for people affected by MS and raise funds for critical MS research. We serve 12,000 people living with MS in the five boroughs of New York City, Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Sullivan counties. Join the movement toward a world free of MS.

    The Hispanic Outreach Committee works to support and cultivate programs currently offered to Spanish speaking members of the chapter, and assist with the creation of new programming to Spanish speaking communities in the five boroughs and Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Sullivan counties.

    Marketing & Corporate Relations Committee

    Marketing and Corporate Relations Committee members shall foster positive and productive relationships with the Chapter’s partners as well as expand this base of support. The Committee will support and assist the chapter in building sustainable and mutually beneficial alliances within the corporate and media communities that leverage the resources and assets of the individual corporations and the Chapter. The Committee will collaborate on creating impactful initiatives that include corporate sponsorship, in-kind donations, cause marketing and brand building marketing campaigns.

    Chapter Ambassador

    Chapter Ambassadors will serve as representatives of the Society and assist with the success of selected special events and member programs. Key responsibilities include: provide on-site event day assistance with the coordination of set-up, and break down of selected special events and member programs, demonstrate professional and courteous customer service skills by providing an upbeat, positive attitude, and enthusiastic approach to all staff and attendees at selected special events and member programs, assist with check in process and maintain attendance records for member programs as needed, and answer attendee inquires on the Society programs, services, and events.

    Event Captain

    Work to go that extra mile to make the New York City - Southern New York Chapter's one day mass market events the best. Volunteer Event Captains help the day run smoother by adding an extra level of expertise. Not only will you learn what goes on behind the scenes, you will meet amazing staff and volunteers who are all here to create a world free of MS. Event Captains are needed for Bike MS, Walk MS, and Climb to the Top.
