Adversity and illness is met with generosity and stamina. Meet Bailey Jones, a recent graduate of Barbers Hill High School in Mont Belvieu. After some busy years in high school on the cheerleading squad and Fellowship of Christian Athletes group, Bailey now aspires to work in the publishing industry after completing her undergrad studies at Texas A&M. Although college is a challenge for most, Bailey is well-practiced at handling challenges. She has met the challenge of illness affecting two of her family members, one of whom lives with MS, and also helped cleanup and serve workers in her hometown after Hurricane Ike. “Strength. Responsibility. Thankfulness. All of these things are positive lessons I have learned while coping with my mother’s multiple sclerosis,” Bailey says.
