Sandra Day O’Connor High School graduate Clay Lansdale grew up with a spark to never let go of his goals and dreams – a trait he says he learned from his mother who has MS. Clay attributes much of his drive in both the classroom and the football field to his mom, especially after watching her earn her Master’s Degree at the age of 45. “Watching my mom fight for years has taught me to never give up,” Clay says. “It has also taught me to believe in myself because my mom has never given up on herself. Against all odds, you can change your circumstances. Education brings about change.” Now, Clay plans on furthering his own education at Trinity University in San Antonio while earning his Bachelor’s in Engineering/Physics.
