When Veronica Rodriguez was in Waltrip High School in Houston, many of her fellow drum line and band mates probably could not relate to Veronica’s second home. After all, few students must visit the doctor and hospital as often has Veronica has had to in her life. But with her father’s history of strokes, her mother’s MS, and her own bleeding disorder, Veronica has had to deal with her many medical nightmares. Today, with the National MS Society scholarship, Veronica hopes to make an impact on people’s lives who deal with health issues as she works to obtain her Bachelor’s at Sam Houston
State University in biology.
