Dr. Victor M Rivera has dedicated his career to the care of people with multiple sclerosis. His involvement with the National MS Society has been continuous and impactful since the chapter was founded in Houston in 1972.
Dr. Rivera’s bibliography includes over 150 papers, 25 book chapters, editor of two books, the preface of four neurological books in Spanish, one in Portuguese and one biography in Spanish. He has lectured at more than 150 international events and chaired 20 international meetings.
Dr. Rivera has served as a chapter trustee, chair of the Clinical Advisory Committee, chair of the Outreach and Access to Services Committee, member of the Clinical Affiliation Review Committee, and most recently, member of the Houston Leadership Council. He has been honored as the Chapter Volunteer of the Year, inducted into the Chapter Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Society Volunteer Hall of Fame for Health Professionals.
