MS stops people from moving. The National MS Society exists to make sure it doesn't.
The National MS Society is committed to building a movement by and for people with MS that will move us closer to a world free of this disease.
To ignite this movement, we have developed a new language and look to help people better understand what it means to live with MS.

MS shouldn't stand in the way of an education. This is why the National MS Society's Scholarship program exists - to help highly qualified students who have been diagnosed with MS or who have a parent with MS achieve their dreams of going to college. To qualify, students must be attending post-secondary school for the first time.
Scholarship applications for 2009 awards will be available October 1, 2008. Applications may be submitted from October 15, 208 through January 15, 2009. Scholars receive notice in May 2009. |

Spread the Word!
Studies show that early and ongoing treatment with an FDA approved therapy can reduce future disease activity and improve quality of life for many people with multiple sclerosis. The National MS Society's medical advisors recommend that people with MS talk with their health care professional about using one of these medications and about strategies and effective treatments to manage symptoms. The National MS Society is committed to ensuring that people with MS have the information and quality care they need to live healthy, productive and independent lives. If you or someone you know has MS, please contact the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at aka@nmss.org or 1-800 (344-4867) to learn about ways to help manage multiple sclerosis and about current research that may one day reveal a cure.
There is still no cure. That is why we are relentless in our fundraising efforts, and our research efforts.
