MS shouldn't stand in the way of an education.
This is why the National MS Society's
Scholarship program exists - to help highly
qualified students who have been
diagnosed with MS
or who have a parent with MS achieve
their dreams of going to college.
To qualify, students must be attending
post-secondary school for the first time.

Scholarship applications for 2009 awards will be
available October 1, 2008.
Applications may be submitted from
October 15, 208 through January 15, 2009.
Scholars receive notice in May 2009.

The National MS Society is committed to building a movement by and for people with MS that will move us closer to a world free of this disease.
To ignite this movement, we have developed a new language and look to help people better understand what it means to live with MS.

Welcome to the Arrkansas Office of the All America Chapter web site.
Our web site provides information about:
  • Information about multiple sclerosis
  • Local programs and services
  • Current research and treatments
  • Current events and activities
  • Fundraising and volunteer opportunities throughout our service area

Our Mission

We achieve our mission through delivery of programs and services to people with MS and their families and caregivers, and through support of research into the cause and cure of MS.  Our activities are made possible through private donations, grants, sponsorships and fundraising campaigns such as the Walk MS, Bike MS, and the Dinner of Champions.

People with MS and family members who are registered with our office receive our quarterly newsletter MS Connections, mailings about programs, events and volunteer opportunities.  Most of our programs and services are free, however some may require nominal fees.

Spread the Word!

Studies show that early and ongoing treatment with an FDA approved therapy can reduce future disease activity and improve quality of life for many people with multiple sclerosis.  The National MS Society's medical advisors recommend that people with MS talk with their health care professional about using one of these medications and about strategies and effective treatments to manage symptoms.  The National MS Society is committed to ensuring that people with MS have the information and quality care they need to live healthy, productive and independent lives.  If you or someone you know has MS, please contact the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at arr@nmss.org or 1-800 (344-4867) to learn about ways to help manage multiple sclerosis and about current research that may one day reveal a cure.

MS affects families.  This is why we fund research into the cause and cure.

Why You Should Get On and Stay On MS Drug Therapy
Scientific evidence shows that these therapies have the ability to decrease the number of attacks a person with relapsing MS would expect to have over time. As a result, these medications are thought to slow down the development of MS disability. Learn More
