It is vitally important that the MS community maintain a strong voice and be heard by elected officials, who develop policies and determine funding. Did you know that recent MS advocacy efforts:
- resulted in a petition being signed by more than 100,000 people to increase federal funding for MS research?
- led to the revision of a potentially damaging Medicare policy on coverage of power mobility?
- helped to pass stem cell legislation in both the House and Senate?
To foster successes such as these, you need to be involved.
