National MS Society announces Alabama and Mississippi Merger

MS Society Announces new Alabama-Mississippi Chapter Merger

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is excited to announce the merger of the Alabama Chapter and the Mississippi office, which was formerly part of the All America Chapter. The new Chapter is aptly named the Alabama-Mississippi Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and will serve the entire state of Alabama plus the state of Mississippi, with the exception of four northern Mississippi counties near Memphis, TN which will continue to be supported by the Tennessee-based Mid-South Office.
The Alabama-Mississippi Chapter merger strengthens the MS Society’s ability to serve people living with multiple sclerosis in both Alabama and Mississippi. The National MS Society has a 50-state network of chapters, expending almost $126 million a year to serve over one million people affected by multiple sclerosis. Each year, the Society devotes more than $46 million to support over 440 research projects internationally.
