Advocacy Volunteers

Advocacy Communications Assistant
Description: enter contact information for elected officials in NMSS databases, contacting advocates and elected officials around pertinent MS policy issues, schedule appointments for Advocay staff and volunteers to visit legislators in their districts, assist in follow up phone calls to legislators and miscellaneous tasks assisting Chapter.
Skills needed: Interest in Advocacy, comfortable speaking to legislative offices and other important elected officials, passion for the issues that matter to people living with MS. Dependable, detail oriented, moderate multi-tasking, light computer work but easily trainable.
Commitment: In Office, 1 full day (4hours) or 2 days a week for 2 hours each day. Flexible but consistent. Willingness to adjust hours when needed.
