- Knowledge is Power (KIP)
A free, at-home educational series for people who have been recently diagnosed and their family members. KIP will provide you with current and accurate information about multiple sclerosis. Topics include: What is MS? Dealing With Your Diagnosis, Working With Your Doctor, Treatments in MS, Disclosing Your Diagnosis, Disease-Modifying Treatments for MS, Impact of MS on the Family, and Maximizing Your Employment Options. Join a Knowledge is Power teleconference (monthly) or order your Knowledge is Power kit now.
- Moving Forward
The Chapter is the leading source of information about MS in our community. We host several annual seminars: Moving Forward for people newly diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The content of the seminar is designed to help people newly diagnosed better understand their diagnosis as well as provide a forum for questions to local professionals in the field of MS. Every session hosts a local neurologist, physical or occupational therapist and mental health professional for clients to address. If you or someone you know would like to attend this program, contact Amy.Keller@mspacific.org at 760-448-8403 or visit the chapter calendar to see when the next program will take place in your area.

Multicultural & Community Outreach
Multicultural and community outreach helps educate the general public and under-represented groups, while teaching organizations about MS and the programs and services the National MS Society offers. The chapter is a resource for non-native English speakers, provides Spanish literature and produces a Spanish newsletter, Conexion Hispana.
Wellness education programs present information and exhibitors on exercise, nutrition, stress management, alternative therapies and more. Wellness Works is offered quarterly and Wellness Expo is offered annually. Contact Amanda.Lasik@mspacific.org at 760-448-8404 for details.
Held multiple times annually at varying locations throughout our area, MS Research Symposiums host physicians and other professionals who educate attendees on the latest topics such as stem cell therapy, genetics, nervous system repair and symptom management. Visit the chapter calendar to find an upcoming symposium. Learn about research online and request to be added to our research updates email.
