Alyssa Turnbull, Colorado Springs
Alyssa graduated from Rampart High School and was a Merit Award Section Leader in the Rampart Regiment Marching Band. In addition, she participated in Colorado Springs Youth Symphony and the Western State College Honor Band. She is described by one of her teacher’s as being a strong, dedicated and inquisitive student who “continually strives to do better in school and in her life.” As a result she maintained a 4.0 grade average for the past four years.
Despite the impact of MS on her family’s life which has resulted in her taking on increasing responsibilities at home, she continues to pursue her dreams of a higher education.
Alyssa plans to attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins and study chemical engineering.
