Sfiridis Named Associate Vice President of Finance and Administration

Sfiridis Named Associate Vice President of Finance and Administration 

HARTFORD, Conn. – The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Connecticut Chapter has named Loretta Sfiridis, C.P.C.U., associate vice president of finance and administration. 

A native of New Bedford, Mass., Sfiridis attended Southeastern Massachusetts University in North Dartmouth, Mass., and later earned Charted Property Casualty Underwriter certification in 1985.

“I am very excited to be part of the Connecticut Chapter team,” said Sfiridis, who is a longtime resident of Manchester. “I know that my skills in budgeting, management reporting, and the day to day operations of the accounting and administrative functions will help to bring a ‘fresh look’ to the chapter‘s finance department and the support services that are critical to the efficient operation of the chapter.” 

Previously, from 1999 to 2009, Sfiridis was affiliated with the March of Dimes Foundation, Connecticut Chapter, serving as director of operations where she was responsible for managing accounting, finance and operations. From 1996 to 1999, Sfiridis was worked for the Manchester Board of Education. Sfiridis was affiliated with Aetna Life and Casualty in Hartford from 1976 to 1987. She served as manager for personal lines planning and research for Aetna Life and Casualty in Hartford from 1984 to 1987, was a consultant for product management from 1982 to 1984, and from 1976 to 1987 was in programming. 

“Ms. Sfiridis is an outstanding addition to our team,” said Connecticut Chapter President Lisa Gerrol. “Her experience will be a tremendous asset to the chapter and those we serve. She will play an integral role in moving the chapter forward as we continue to navigate our way through a difficult economy without reducing the vital programs and services we provide to the more than 6,000 Connecticut families affected by the potentially debilitating effects of multiple sclerosis.” 

Sfiridis was a member of the Manchester Basketball Association board of trustees from 2001 to 2004. She also served as treasurer of the Manchester High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) from 2003 to 2007. Sfiridis is the married to George Sfiridis and the couple has two daughters, Stephanie and Krista.
