Participate in the MS Aquatics Research Study

The MS Aquatics Research Study is seeking participants with multiple sclerosis for a study on the benefits of and barriers to participation in an aquatics program.

Study participation involves a one hour (approximate) telephone interview that explores:

  • aquatics program experiences,
  • exercise beliefs,
  • fatigue level and overall health.

If you have participated in an aquatics program within the past six months and would like to contribute to the findings of this study, please contact Dr. Sarah Chard, Ph.D., from the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, at 410-455-1632 for further information or to arrange the telephone interview.

Participants who complete the telephone interview will receive a $25 gift card from a national retailer in appreciation of their time.

The MS Aquatics Research Study is funded by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and has been approved by the UMBC Institutional Review Board (IRB), number Y09SC21217
