The National Capital Chapter is a member organization of United Way of the National Capital Area (UWNCA). UWNCA coordinates one of the largest annual fundraising campaigns in the country. The campaign disperses millions in monies to more than 1,000 nonprofit partners that provide health and human services programs to Washington area residents. |

The campaign also includes nine Community Services Funds, which work to solve complex social issues by directing funds to the most critical areas of need.
Most United Way campaigns will honor designations to any nonprofit (also known as a 501(c)(3) organization). If your workplace has a United Way campaign, you can write in a designation to the National MS Society, National Capital Chapter in the section set aside for designations to “other 501(c)(3) organizations.” See your workplace campaign coordinator for help.
