2012 Employment Teleconference Series
January through March -
Join us for a series of teleconferences on a variety of topics related to Employment and MS. The series is made up of six teleconferences held every other Thursday from January through March, 2012

Newly Diagnosed Networking Group
Starts February 8 - If you have been diagnosed with MS in the last two years, join the Society, others newly diagnosed with MS, and their adult family members for this three week discussion group.

Teen Talk Pizza Party for Teens and Parents
February 11
- Teen Talk is a get-together for teens 13 to 18 years old who have a parent with MS. Through discussion and activities, teens share with each other about life with MS and life in general.

Kidventure Game Day at GW
February 25
- Kids and teens, ages 7 to 17, who have a parent with MS are invited to join us for a GW Basketball game and a day of recreation, education, support and fun.

Maryland Advocacy Day
March 14
- Participants will receive specific issue preparation and then meet with their legislator to draw attention to the National MS Society's priority issues in Maryland.

Emerging Therapies: Part of the Educational Teleconference Series
March 15
- An MS specialist neurologist, will discuss the most recent information concerning newly emerging MS therapies to promote a better understanding and educate participants on treatment options.

Career Crossroads: Employment and MS
March 17 and 24
- Individuals who are currently employed or planning an imminent return to the workplace are invited to learn, share, and make informed decisions regarding your employment situation in this small group setting.

MS Service Day

Using Assistive Technology for People Living with MS: Part of the Educational Teleconference Series
May 3
 - Mark Surabian, Assistive Technology Practitioner, will discuss a variety of assistive technologies that can enable people living with MS to function better at home, at work and at leisure.
