About This Chapter

The mission of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is to end the devastating effects of MS.

Founded in 1946, the National MS Society had more than 750,000 members in 2001 and an estimated 2 million volunteers, supporters and friends. The Delaware Chapter is one of 135 chapter, branch and division offices – hubs for programs and services tailored to community needs and for raising the funds that make all Society programs possible. Currently, the Chapter counts 1,250 persons with MS in the state. In fiscal year 2002, the Chapter raised over $1.3 million for much needed research and local programs and services to meet the needs of our clients. As the sole Chapter in the state, the Delaware Chapter covers all of New Castle, Kent and Sussex Counties.
