What kind of books should I read?
The books you read can be about anything that interests you: sports, mysteries, etc. All the books you read should be at your reading level.

Do I have to read to other people?
If you are in kindergarten or first grade then you can have someone read to you; otherwise you read to yourself or to a younger brother/sister or student.

May I read in other languages?
You may read in any language you choose.

How many books should I read?
As many as you wish.

What if I read more books or minutes than there are spaces for on the booklist?
Then congratulations! Continue your list on a separate piece of paper and insert it into your kit when you are finished.

How long should the books be?
Please read books at your reading level. If you are reading a longer book than usual, then speak to your teacher or parent/guardian and decide how many chapters will equal one book.

Where do I get the books?
From home, your school or your local library.

May I read a book that I have already read?
We would prefer if you read something new.

May I count a book that I have already started?
Yes.

Who should I ask to be my sponsor? Can I sponsor myself?
Go to people you know: parents, friends, neighbors, relatives. Never ask strangers! You can sponsor yourself but if you also ask other people to sponsor you, you will be able to raise more money for people with MS.

How many sponsors should I get?
As many as you wish.

How much should a sponsor pledge?
Whatever they wish. They can sponsor on a per book/minute basis or give a flat rate. It is a good idea to let your sponsor know how many books you are planning to read.

How is the money used?
The money raised through the Readathon will go towards research and providing services to people who have MS.
