"Relationship Matters" Teleconference Series

"Relationship Matters" Teleconference Series for Couples

Featuring two new topics!

"Eight Hours To a Lifetime of Relationship Satisfaction" Teleconference
Tuesdays, January 5th - February 9th, 9:00 pm - 10:30 pm ET
Thursdays, February 25th - April 1st, 10:00 pm - 11:30 pm ET
You must pre-register to participate.

"Eight Hours to a Lifetime of Relationship Satisfaction" is the foundational teleclass series for couples.  Participants learn the essential skills and communication methods that are necessary for a healthy relationship.

For many, this is a refresher course to strengthen both skills and commitment. Others find the information and materials provide a valuable way to learn (and in some cases unlearn) skills, attitudes and behaviors that lead to a more successful way of relating.

You can expect some discussion about MS, but the focus for this course is on the couple and the relationship.

You and your partner may want to consider this teleclass series if:

  • Communication is important to you.
  • Meeting your partner’s emotional needs is a priority.
  • Resolving conflict peacefully appeals to your sensibilities.
  • It’s been a while since you’ve reaffirmed your commitment to each other.
  • Coping with your feelings is becoming difficult.

All course materials are included. At the completion of all 6 sessions, participants will receive a $50 gift card, a follow-up call to discuss the results of their assessments and a copy of the book, "Multiple Sclerosis: 300 Tips for Making Life Easier" by Shelley Peterman Schwarz.

"Jumpstart Your Relationship: Reclaim Your Well-Being" Teleconference
Thursdays, January 7th - February 11th, 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm ET
Tuesdays, February 23rd - March 30th, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm ET
You must pre-register to participate.

"Jumpstart Your Relationship: Reclaim Your Well-Being" is a teleclass series for couples who are looking for solutions to the emotional havoc brought on by MS.

In this series, scenarios of couples living with MS will demonstrate how couples can effectively manage some of the emotional backlash triggered by common MS symptoms.

Experts from the Society and Can Do MS (formerly the Heuga Center) will review symptoms and treatments, as well as skills for couples to talk about and solve some of these very difficult problems.

This teleconference series may be a good fit if:

  • You’re adapting to life changes related to MS.
  • MS symptoms are creating challenges in your relationship.
  • You’re finding it hard to exercise good self-care.
  • Intimacy no longer seems possible.
  • Cognitive challenges are taking a toll on your partnership.
