Take Action

Raise Your Voice. Advocate for MS.
Be a part of the movement towards a world free of MS.

National MS Home Advocacy Page

Part of the mission of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is to advocate for the rights of people with MS. Advocacy can mean voicing concerns or providing awareness. We believe that when the members of the MS Society work together, we can enhance services, preserve the independence, and protect the rights of people with MS in our area

What Is Advocacy?

We encourage you to join us and raise your voice to demand consideration on behalf of the MS community. Help us safeguard fair medical coverage and funding for research, protect disability rights and ensure that all public spaces are accessible no matter what your physical limitations are.

By working with policymakers, encouraging people to communicate with lawmakers, and nurturing respect for people who must confront MS, we can make a difference.

What do Advocates Do?

Some activities in which MS Advocates have participated are:

  • Sharing their stories
  • Representing the National MS Society at Legislative Delegation Meetings
  • Communicating with local government officials

The Chapter welcomes you to volunteer your time and knowledge in this effort by becoming an activist. For more information, contact Jenna Labadie at 813-889-8303 or 888-950-9080 or via email at jenna.labadie@nmss.org to be an advocate and help us move one step closer to a world free of MS.
