It takes many volunteers just like you to put on our events. Some events require a handful of volunteers for a couple of hours, while others may require hundreds of volunteers. Other events need volunteers that are willing to work months leading up to, and after, an event. Some events require outdoor labor while others are indoor assignments. Event volunteer opportunities can include everything from mass-market fundraising to educational programs to benefit the MS community.
Events are truly a great way to get involved that can easily fit your personal needs and preferences. Best of all, they are great for individuals, families, and corporate groups.

Bike MS
Support over 1,500 cyclists, all pedaling for a cure for MS!
Do you have family, friends or co-workers that want to participate in Bike MS: The Citrus Tour but don't feel they can ride? Volunteering would be right up their alley! Bike MS: The Citrus Tour needs volunteers to ensure a successful event.
Bike MS Volunteer positions include:
>Medical Volunteers - Health care professionals are needed to administer first aid throughout the entire course of the bike tour. You must have EMT, RN or MD certifications to volunteer for the medical volunteer positions.
Massage Therapists - After the ride, some cyclists enjoy a good massage. Certified massage therapists are needed to help provide that service.
>Support and Gear (SAG) Vans - SAG drivers patrol the bike route providing assistance to cyclists in need of a lift due to bike troubles or fatigue. They also mark any hazards on the route. This is a volunteer job that lasts all weekend beginning by picking up your SAG van on Friday afternoon. You must be a licensed, insured driver 25 years or older.
>Supply Truck Drivers - Licensed, insured drivers over the age of 25 who have experience with trucks are needed to distribute food, water and ice along the route. This position is essential to the safety and success of our tour. It requires the ability to lift 50 pounds. This is an all-weekend volunteer job, from Friday night to Sunday night.
>Parking - Able bodies are needed Friday night and the early hours of Saturday and Sunday morning to direct traffic to proper parking spots.
>Rest Stops - Rest stops are situated about every 10 miles along the route, supplying food, beverages and encouragement to cyclists. Using provided materials, volunteers assemble sandwiches, cut fruit and pour drinks. Specialized volunteers at each rest stop provide medical and communications support.
>Lunch Stops - Lunch volunteers prepare and stock the cold-food buffet that recharges our cyclists.
>Finish Line - Cyclists report that the people cheering them on at the finish line are one of the best aspects of the tour. Join the crowd at the finish line and cheer on the people who've ridden all day to help find a cure for MS.
>Site Closing - After the tour, help us clean up and pack the materials.
