Students With Hidden Disabilities Sought for Research Project

Researchers at the University of Southern Main are conducting a study documenting students’ with hidden disabilities experiences and stories of disclosing, or not disclosing, their disability, at their postsecondary educational settings. This is an exciting study, as these stories have never been documented, yet they are experiences which when shared will create a better understanding for people without hidden disabilities of what it is like for people with hidden disabilities at a postsecondary educational setting. With this increased knowledge, we can work towards creating safer and more open educational environments for students with hidden disabilities. For more information about the study or the researchers conducting the study, please contact Julie R. Alexandrin at jalexandrin@usm.maine.edu or Ilana Lyn Schreiber at ischreibe@hotmail.com
